Reduced risk by improved risk checks

What does it take for a farmer to conduct a fire safety risk assessment in their own barn? By simplifying the process, the goal was to reduce the risk of injuries and accidents.
Process

Based on the insights gathered, Nudgelab developed a series of measures to achieve the desired behavior. One of the main initiatives was to simplify the structure and clarify the language of the risk assessment to increase its user-friendliness. At the same time, great emphasis was placed on ensuring the validity and reliability of the questionnaires, with the aim of generating an accurate risk profile for Gjensidige.

Results

The work resulted in 12 new risk questionnaires that customers now fill out themselves on Gjensidige's website, rather than over the phone with an advisor.

What could be improved?

No funds were allocated within the project to test the customer user experience. Consequently, Gjensidige had to conduct user surveys and make the necessary adjustments themselves, depending on the feedback from customers.
