Reduced risk by improved risk checks

What does it take for a farmer to conduct a fire safety risk assessment in their own barn? The goal was to reduce the risk of injuries and accidents by simplifying the process for Gjensidige.
Process

Based on gathered insights, Nudgelab developed a series of measures to reduce the risk of injuries and increase the number of fire safety risk assessments. One of the main interventions was to simplify the structure and clarify the language of the risk assessment. At the same time, great emphasis was placed on ensuring the validity and reliability of the questionnaires, with the aim of generating an accurate risk profile for Gjensidige.

Results

The project resulted in 12 new risk questionnaires that customers can fill out themselves on Gjensidige's website, rather than over the phone with an advisor.

What could be improved?

No funds were allocated to test customers user experience. Consequently, Gjensidige had to conduct user surveys and make the necessary adjustments themselves.
